In life we run into situations that we may have no experience in or frame of reference to handle. Might I add, that sometimes your ’inner man’ shakes as if your soul and spirit are assaulted and confronted by an unseen being.

Might I add, that sometimes your ’inner man’ shakes as if your soul and spirit are assaulted and confronted by an unseen being. I believe a demonic spirit is often what causes that kind of reaction. There’s a scripture that’s been hovering in my spirit for a few days now, and I finally captured it to see what God wants me to understand.
Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Interestingly, the Hebrew for the word set here implies to agree with, be like, resemble…something like we say something is settled in our mind. When Luke wrote the book of Acts he records Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost where he quotes this Messianic Psalm in Acts “For David says of Him, ‘I SAW THE LORD ALWAYS IN MY PRESENCE; FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN.” Acts 2:25 NASB
The words always in my presence or continually before me have an even more interesting meaning in the Greek translation. The word is prooráō (from /pró, “before” and /horáō, “see”) – properly means to, see before (“ahead of time”), generally about a revelation of the Lord that enables us to foresee. To behold in advance, i.e. (actively) to notice (another) previously, or (middle voice) to keep in (one’s own) view — foresee, see before.
I love this. The eternal Son of God is saying that He always foresees The LORD God, Jehovah before Him…and we are becoming like Him. Surprises and challenges will come in life; we will be confronted with the unexpected but it’s our foresight, how we are prepared for these encounters that matters and determines their affect on and in our lives. You see, we need to foresee Jesus in the picture and narrative of life…always…foresee Him there, before and ahead of us. We need to behold Him in our story ahead of time so as not to be alone and alarmed at attack or adversity. We need to set and settle this truth in our heart and mind.
And then, know that He is actually also at our right hand. Always a picture and symbolism of power and authority.
On one’s right hand: Acts 2:25 (from Psalm 15:8, He is at my right hand, namely, as a leader, to sustain me). Hebrews sometimes use from or at the right, at the side of anyone. The Romans defined the position of one standing or sitting next to another by proceeding from the one next to whom he is said to stand or sit. To the right meant to occupy the places of honor nearest the king; our Christ has ascended to or on the right hand) of God, Acts 2:34.
When we foresee God ahead of us and in power and authority at our right, there is nothing that will be able to shake us. My prayer is that your spiritual eyes will be opened to see this today.
